Nintendo wii is really good. Most games use the wii remote, but some games have a original joypad. You don't always move around alot and in lots of the games you use the remote as a pointer. The playstation 3 is way to expensive, my uncle bought one and it's not worth £350. The wii is better in my opinion. It's really good for when you have loads of friends round cause lots of the games only require 1 remote for up to 8 people. You can also use nintendo game cube games and controllers in it. My favorite thing about the wii is that you have your own mii who you design and name, and most of the games use your mii. You download new things to do on the wii from the wii shop chanel. Like the Votes chanel where you can ask questions and see what other people all around the world think. Then theres the internet chanel, which is basically, the internet (i'm writeing this from my wii), the mii contest chanel, where you compete to make lookalikes ect. there are the weather and the news chanels, the weather chanel is cool cause you can see the weather in almost anywhere in the world. if you know anyone that has a wii, you can swap mii's, send the wii mail and play together on the interactive games. the wii comes with wii sports, which is a fun game, i also have wii play, my sims, big brain acamdamy, cooking mama and a few more, I recomend most of the wii games, cause they are all really fun. Some people say the wii is bad because it doesn't read the signal from the wii remote properly, this is not true, you just have to make sure that the remote has enough battery and that the bar that reads the signal is not blocked by anything and is on the right settings.

I highly recomend the wii!

Xbox360 PS3 and Nintendo Wii are all of the same generation the only reason xbox360 seems old is because it came out before all the others.
This is basically a matter of choice if you want the mario games, sonic games, and other nintendo exclusives and you want an original gaming experience go for the nintendo wii. it is also great for party games and groups of people and also has unique features like the mii's and other channels. this is also the cheapest system and the most promising so far i can see many exclusive titles coming out for this system because of it's unique gameplay experience
Playstation 3 has some unique titles like final fantasy and other big rpgs and fps exclusives although exclusives are going out of style now....if you want a ps3 now is the time to buy it because it is failing so badly the price is dropping rapidly soon the ps3 should overcome the xbox360 because the controller has a tilt sensor and because of the amazing graphics but please note that in order to play the ps3 u must have an hdtv they are also easy to find but the price is kind of steep still
Xbox360 has very few exclusive titles and is inbetween the nintendo wii and the ps3 this one is somewhat easy to find as well but if you have a great computer i wouldn't buy an xbox because most games are for computer all you need to do is buy the gamepad which you can buy at logitech for like 20 dollars i also heard that this system overheats easily but i do not know much about it it is inbetween the prices of the nintendo wii and the ps3
i hope this helps you

PS3:

Pros: Best graphics ouy of all 3.
Cons: Not many good games out this year

Wii:

Pros: More interactive games, more fun games than repeatedly playing shooters over and over again. Can download old NES, SNES and 64 games as well as Neo-Geo and Turbografx.

Cons: Nintendo often realease game that are meant for little kids and the graphics aren't as good.

I don't know what everyones talking about when they say you have always flail your arms around using the Wii remote. Most of the time you don't even have to move your arms and sometimes it's just a flick of the wrist. And for some games you can use the remote by itself sideways but most of the time you have to use the motion sensors.

i own both. both are sweet, but for two different reasons. first off let me say, i love the ps3. i have always been a sony guy and i adore the ps3. the graphics and games are amazing. i play it everyday. the wii on the other hand, is also great. the thing with the wii is, the games get old. dont get me wrong, its tons of fun. but i got tired of the mini games and stupid gimmick games that come out for the wii. right now me and my gf and obsessed with mario galaxy. thats all we play. the thing is, we already beat it and are going through it a second time as luigi. and once that game is totally beat, i dont know when another wii game will come out that i will like that much. where as the ps3 has tons of good games coming out. if you want something new and refreshing and you have small kids, get the wii. if you are looking for a great gaming system that offers a lot more, go with the ps3. either way, i think you will be happy. good luck

edit. yes you do have to move around for most of the wii games. you dont for mario. but most wii games involve you moving around a lot. and dont get the 360. aside from the fact that it was outdated in 2005, 1 out of every 3 360s will break. and yes i did own one. trust your gut, dont get the 360.

Stay away from the PS3 like the plague.

Wii and 360 have their advantages over each other, but it really comes down to who's going to use it.

Wii:
The Wii is good for kids. It's also very physical, so playing fitness games like Wii Sports or Wii fit can aid in an active lifestyle. Also, the Wii is the most social system out there- playing it with a few mates is such a laugh, and something everyone should experience. The essential Wii games are Mario Galaxy and Zelda Twilight Princess.

360:
This system however has the most punch in terms of quality titles- but only if male-oriented games are your thing. Xbox Live is amazing once you get properly set-up. If you have a decent TV, the graphics can really blow you away. Essential 360 games: Halo 3, Mass Effect, The Orange Box (note: all three are shoot-'em-up adventures)

So weigh up your decision based on who you're buying it for.

Hope that helps!

The Wii is the only gaming system in which Ive been interested. My husband and I saw it at Best Buy and I liked the activeness of it and that it was something we could do at home (for cheap after the initial startup costs, and even with the subsequent games). He found it in February, maybe January, at the beginning of my pregnancy. Unfortunately, though, I was way tired and got attacked with some viruses at the beginning and it was set up in the front room that was way too cold to sit in. So we've not played it much.

My husband has a Playstation, 2, I think and I've just not been much interested in it. Well, the games he has. If we got some games like Jeopardy! or quiz/skill games, I would be interested at least. I think that's why like the Wii because we have games like that or will get games like that.

This is my opinion. What I know about game systems and gaming can fit on the tip of a pen.

i think probably the wii. i would have said the playstation 3, but it is really expensive, and also due to the introduction of blue ray technology, you cant play playstation 2 games. not that it is an issue if you have no playstation 2 games, but is is for me.

Also, t is just more fun to have a wii, more interactive, and also allowes better multiplayer gameplay, so really i think that the wii is a winner all round.

The wii's only really fun if you're playing with friends. The PS3 is fun playing single player, and with friends. The PS3 also has more games that support online multiplayer. Also with the PS3 you get so much more like a DVD and blu-ray player. And because the wii doesn't have a hard drive games like Guitar hero 3, which have downloadable content for the PS3, don't have downloadable content for the Wii. The Wii isn't very powerful and doesn't have big cross-platform games like Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4 or GTA IV because it couldn't handle them. I think the PS3 has a much better lineup with current exclusives like Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, Folklore, and Resistance. As well as these there are the exclusives for the PS3 that are coming out next year like MGS4, Final Fantasy XIII, Haze, Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 2. The wii doesn't really have any equivalents of these games and it mostly has mini-game collections. Overall I think that the PS3 is better.

If you are a real gamer, the graphics are far superior on the Playstation and are the games, but if you are playing all together as a family the wii is best, its a blast, i have a 3 and 5 year old!

OK, Nintendo Wii is better than PS3 because you get to move with a controller and have as many players as you want. It only depends on what game you are playing. PS3 is just a new version of PS2 only with new features. And PS3 doesn't have satisfying games. But the Wii does. So my opinion is that the Wii is better. I hoped that helped!!!!
