how to disconnect ipod from ps3 properly?

I am about to copy music and videos from a 30GB ipod to my ps3...... I know that on a regular PC there's a special way to disconnect the ipod without damaging it. does the ps3 have a special way to disconnect it? If so please tell

Don't worry about it, nothing will happen. I do it all the time, just unplug it. Just don't disconnect while your copying or something.

Well you push the buttons on the side and take it out.
