can you download ps2 saves to my ps3?

i heard you cant because ps2 files are different in ps3 but what if you can download save files that have been inside the ps3 already does any one know a site that as ps2 save that came from a ps3

put it on any memory stick under the file name:
EXPORT->PSV
he save should be a .psv format

there is an adapter you can connect the memorycard it and it will upload all the saves, it costs $15 at stores
