How can I backup my PS3 data out of the system if I need to replace it and then when I get a new one how can I get my data back?

There is an option in System settings for a backup. Than take big flash drive, external HDD, memory card and dump your data there with the help of backup function.

Use a Memory Stick Duo or SD Memory Card. Go to your save data and hit triangle to get the option to copy the data to your card. Then, you can just recopy it back onto the other system! :)

but in a blank disc
go to system settings and choose backup utility
then if you want to take it off you put the disc in and it shows up as a dat disc u cn copy stuff off
