i want to hook up a dvd player to this tv, and i know i could get a rf modulator. But i also would like to use headphones at times so i dont bother my roommate. So how can i hook up a dvd player, but also use headphones for regular tv?

i dont know what configuration i need and some of the information for setting my ps3 up online. so i go to setting then network setting i enable the internet and video media thingy that i can enable. then i go to set it up and it cuts off the interntet. and it asks me what kind of connection i have i choose wired, then adress settings and i choose easy,then it asks me if i want to run proxy server and i said no,and now it is taking me to a list of all the settings when before it asked me wht my ip adress was sub net mask dsn amin and dsn sub or something like that and my ip adress only fits a few letters in.when i try to connect to the internet how it is now it says error occured while communicating with the server this is a dns error

what am i doing wrong or what do i need to do different?

I am going to get a low end home theater projector.

I looked at the infocus in72, optoma h27, toshiba tdp-et## (forget the model) and the epson home 20.

The DLP seems to get better reviews for black but they are much lower in lumens. Also the 300-400 replacement dlp bulb really scares me.

The epson seems to have better colors, higher light output. $200 bulbs and much more flexible positioning. I like the idea of putting the projector on the coffee table instead of behind or on the ceiling. I figure that I my Wii, home theater pc and dvd player in the coffee table as well.

What worries me is the test that Texas Instruments did that showed that LCDs are really prone to burning out their colors. But the test was a little extreme. 24/7 operation for 2 months.

Anyone else have an epson powerlite home 20, 30s or something similar with an lcd prjector and are happy with it?

I don't want to go 720p or higher for another 2-3 years.

My brother completely ditched me on this..and now i'm all alone..
I got a new i-pod nano ( the second new generation one) NOT the most recent that just came out but before that.
And when I plug that one ito my computer to download songs, iTunes wont pop up likes it suppose to..its like I never plugged it in even though the i-pod charges.
Anyways, please help me I want songs into my i-pod thats the surpose of it..

I don't really know how to describe it, but it's weird. I can hear it even in the TV's all the way down and I'm in the next room. It's sort of like the noise the TV makes when you first turn it on but quieter.

I just bought an HGTV, and I want to mount it on the wall, and run the cables through the wall and across the ceiling tiles to the cable box. This will create a "clean" look when I hang the tv(no boxes) SO, I need a HDMI cable, but I don't know the difference between the expensive ones and the cheaper ones. I need at least a 30 ft cable, so do I need an "extender" PLEASE HELP!
