Has anyone tried to use a DirectTV satellite dish indoors? I live in a basement apartment, and we're not allowed to have satellite dishes or antennas outdoors. Help, please?

When I have bought speakers for my Hifi it always states you should play them quietly for a while to 'break them in' or losen them up before you can obtain optuim sound quality. Is it the same for headphones. I have just bouyght myself a nice pair and have been playing them loud from the start. The actualy level of sound it is admitting is still quite small I suppose just that its right next to my ear!. Anyway is there any sort of standard advice?

I just bought a second remote for my Wii but if I play two player, then one after and try and switch the second controller off it switches the console off. Also last night it wouldn't switch off at all, it isn't the batteries as they are new, and the remote works fine during play. Is there something I am doing wrong?

I'm looking into buying a new Hi Fi and my budget is around £400 to £500 here in the UK.

Am I better to look at a brand new system from one of the japanese names (sony, pioneer etc) or would it be worth my while trawling through ebay and picking some higher quality stuff second hand from the likes of Marantz, Denon or Cambridge Audio?

I'm not interested in twinkly lights and "super xbass mea bombbastic sound system", I'd rather have simple, clean neat and great sound without messing about with signal processors and crud like that.

Any advice please? Thanks in advance!
