When I plug in the player into the USB port it does not show up on the computer or in the my computer file. Please help I am going crazy with this.

It has been a while since I did any of this. I have a new Samsung 50" DLP w/cable card slot. I have both DirecTV and Comcast digital cable (picking up card today) and an older DVD player that I need to upgrade. I need to get these all connected and happy to my Denon 3300 receiver that doesn't have HDMI but does have 3 optical connectors.

Currently, I am using my DVD and CD player optically to the receiver. Would someone be willing to tell me how I should connect all the components and with which cables? It is a bit confusing.

I am guessing the CD player won't change. I should buy a new HD DVD player and connect it optically as well? Digital cable into the back of the TV? How should I connect the TV to the receiver ... perhaps no different than it is currently? The old TV is a Toshiba projection.

Help with all the cabling and which kind of cables to use would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have a speaker that reads 9.1 on my meter and I want to put another speaker in that reads 6.2 . My amp says not to run speakers with les than 8 ohms impedance.

I've had it 5 days now. So far no problems. But it's now frozen on one track. It won't play or "menu back". I've tried plugging it in to the pc but nothing happens. Is this common does anyone know for them to freeze from time to time. As it's not powering off should i just let the battery die? Help!

I have about 8k records that I have been collecting since I was a small child. I love the sound that can only be made by a record player. I am concerned because it damages the lp's to use them traditionally. I would like to know if technology is available to copy these rare lps onto disc while maintaining the cracks and pops that add so much (especially to classic rock lp's).

I am really enjoying discovering music through Limewire. Only problem is that it downloads into its own library, and you then have to export that into Itunes. If you download new stuff regularly, you have to keep importing from Limewire into Itunes, and then you keep having to delete the inevitable duplicates.
I've tried telling Limewire to send music straight to Itunes music library, but it doesn't seem to appear.
Any help gratefully appreciated (and downloading does not stop me buying CDs, by the way!)

It's a Toshiba SD-3980SC2. It is plugged in correctly and worked in another room with the same tv but does not work in mine. Everything has batteries etc. You can insert a DVD and it seems like it might be playing but there is no audio or video. Do I have to switch something to a different mode? and if so, how?

the vcr won't stay "on" and itr says "ejection" on th tv then shuts off. Its unplugged and i have a screwdriver. i need instructions on how to get it out with out breaking the vcr, so that i can then get instructions on how to fix the vcr.

ps - the vcr may or may not have been hit on the side of a truck while taking it out of the box.

I am not a techie, but I am not ready to jump on the Blu-Ray bandwagon.

Beta - OK but short lived
VHS - Better than Beta and made Beta Obsolete
Laser Disc - Better quality, but had to flip over a big disc. Didn't take over from VHS
DVD- Better than LD and took over the home video market... DVD players started out at $400 or more. Now they are really cheap.
Blu-Ray??? Will they just be a stepping stone to something else? Will they make DVD Obsulete? Do we really want/need something so clear that we can see Hollywood Actor's zits? Will the Blu-Ray players end up costing $20 if we just wait? Will the "clearer, better" picture make any difference in how much we enjoy a movie?

I think it's just a bunch of hype to get us to spend $$$$$$

But I could be wrong.......

For the past three days (early in the morning and late in the evening) I have been getting hangup calls from a toll free number on my cell. I finally called the number and without giving a company name it tells you to put in your phone number to be taken of of their list, which sounded to me like a scam. I looked up the number online and didn't find anything. Does anyone know what this is or how I can block them? Thanks.

Ok so my question was:
Well my Mother and I want to buy a new mobile phone..we want to buy two, one we've choosed is Samsung D900. And now we're reallyyyy confused about the other, first we wanted to buy Sony Erricson V800..but we can only find it in Japan or Africa now..not in Europe anymore, there's only the Sony Erricson Z800, and I didnt want to buy it cos its not black and I want a phone that sort of looks like Cloud Strife's mobile phone in FF7..lol. So what do you suggest?? Any phone that looks like his or any phone that u personally REALLY love?? In Nokia or Sony Erricson or any..other than samsung cos we're already buying one (unless you absolutely like one in Samsung it's ok..you can suggest me many Lol). Please a little help would do!

AND I WANT TO ADD:
I want a phone that you can FOLD, not slide..kindof like Cloud Strife like I said lol :D
