Hi, Im after a new 30GB ipod for my girlfriend, i live in the UK and it needs to be brand new and not refurbed etc. Has anyone bought one recently from a respectable website/shop if so how much did you pay....

So far Dixons has been the cheapest at £170 including delivery, but how can a highstreet retailer be the cheapest....

Any advice gratefully received!

We have Direct TV in our apartment but with no DVR or Tivo service. The bill is in my roommates name. I want to get Tivo but on my own, she's not inereseted in adding it to the account, can I just buy a tivo from tivo directlly and use it thru Direct TV and just pay tivo for the service? How does that work. Or do I totally have go thru DirectTV?

I see people use 20D bodies or rebel xt's ..and have amazing pics...I want the LOOk of the pic quality ... NOt random looking quality lens.. The wow look? anywayz... I think 100% is choosing the best lens...DOes anyone know of a GOOD /awesome canon lens....and any ideas or suggestions on working with what I have?

I wish to add a portable water heater to my truck for when I go camping. It needs 110 Volts DC but for quicker heating it needs up to 220V. Do I need to make a circuit? If so what components do I pucrchase etc..

I know most Customer Services are dreadful but has anyone else had specific dealings with Talk Talk? We have had two problems. The first one we ended up resolving ourselves in desperation. The second one we reported in mind-numbing detail on Saturday morning. Woman (in South Africa) said she would ring back at 12 noon.
Still waiting.

This will be my first upgrade and also my first camera phone. I've narrowed down to two phones (LG VX5200 or Nokia 6215i). I have Verizon. Has anyone have any of either these phones and if so, what are your recommendations? I'm very basic. I don't need all the bells and whistles (ie internet).

I cannot make my Cell Phone make repeating events (aka a 9:00 class every monday). No matter what type of repeat I set an event to, it will not repeat (I can't see any repeats of events on the calendar). Yes, I've tried waiting for an event to pass and then seeing if it would re-schedule for the next time--it didnt work, and it would have been a pretty stupid way of calendering anyway.
Please help!

My ipod nano that i bought one year ago at radioshack is bugged, and apple said that they would replace it. Can they just give me my 250 dollars back so i can buy a video ipod for 50 dollars more? my warranty from radioshack wears off this christmas.

8 tracks and cassettes are dead, beta is dead, VHS is on its way out. We now have satellite radio. With technology replacing what was with what is, I can't understand how a frequency that can't be heard in tunnels, under power lines and any other myriad of circumstances is still around.

well i brought a new sci. calculator. my sister ordered me to not use it without reading the users manual. so i started to read it. It introduced the 'F <->E" button. and according to it it's effect was reversable. I pressed it and it showed me 0.00 instead of just a 0.
I tried to reverse it but nothing happened so i turned it off.

when i restarted it it still showed me 0.00 My younger sis asked me how it happened and i told her. this time when pressed it the calc. showed me 0.000000000 instead of the already disturbed 0.00. And now I dont know how to reverse the effect.

PLEASE HELP ME.

IM scared to go to my father.
