Anyone can advice me if I want to use external microphone when I shoot vodeo with my camera (the actor will be far from camera, then I want to record with extra wireless mic)..what brand??? how much....where to plug in ?

the problem. They told me to send the camera in and charges start at $150. What a rip off. I can buy a new camera for around that. My problem is this. My camera worked fine, but then one day I turned it on and I can only take an initial picture. The picture is bright white and then when I try to go from regular camera mode from lets say looking through the lens to seeing it on the screen, it just has an insert on the glass I look through and then doesnt go to the large screen. When I take a picture it takes the picture and then the camera is back to normal every thing works, but I can not click the picture so it takes the picture. Zoom works (unlike it does when I just start it). I am confused, i did all the restore features, and I changed memory cards, I kept the batteries out for 24 hours, but nothing changes. I called Olympus and they tell me they cant do it over the phone and if I wanted to get it fixed they would charge me $150 to send it in...to START. Help!!

I'm thinking of getting one at the end of the year and I've seen it at Wal-Mart, but frankly I'm not really impressed. The picture looked sort of blurry but the sales lady said that was because it was hooked up to a satellite and they didn't really adjust it. I've also seen LCD TV's and they don't really look to great either. Infact my 5 year old Phillips 27" looks just as good or better than both the plasma & LCD. This is the next step in TV? What am I missing?

The volume is turned up to HIGH.
Do we have a bad phone line? Is it internal or external?
Its almost like you can't hear the person at all...you have to press your ear very hard against it to actaully hear a voice.
AND NO I AM NOT DEAF!!!

I purchased 16 gage wire for my new HT system and wow does it seem large compared to the wire they included with the system. Sure I know enough to upgrade from the included stuff but 16 sure seems overkill.

The only place I will really "see" the wire is on my rear surround speakers. The house is prewired so I only need to run a 3 foot wire from the mounted speaker to the connections in the wall. Do you think I could get away with using the smaller diameter wire there and the 16 gage for the front and center speakers where it will be hidden?

Enlighten me please! Thank you!

i went to dublin for the day yesterday, with a friend then we bumped into another friend, and we went to tescos, my friend that we bumped into had to get food and etc so while she was doing this, i thought id get a cd. put it intp her basket paid for it, and off i went to get the train home, to waterford about 2 and a half hours away from dublin, when i got home to put the cd on, nothing in the case, so went into local tesco, they said to ring dublin, so i told my frined in dublin to go in, as she had the receipt and i had the cd cover, so they told her, that she had no prove of purchase, and that they didnt have any extra cd's and that i should of checked it before leaving the shop,!!!!!!!! now what can i do, im not giving up untill i have a refund or a replacement?????
