It works for me, but a lot depends on exactly where you are and how strong the signal is in your area. It will also depend on the type of aerial you have.
There are lots of variables!

Yes. It won't be as good as on an external aerial though: the same as terrestial.
My ex-housemate has had freeview on an indoor aerial for 3 years.
Edit: As other people have said, you may need more than just the basic cheap one. My ex-housemate has one which plugs into the mains for power, so I guess it has a booster of some sort in it.

Yes you can, but it depends on where you live. If you live close to a transmitter i.e. 3 miles from crystal palace then the reception is very good even on a 7 year old cheap indoor aerial, but can easily get interference e.g. by loud car engines.
Hope that helps.

Yes, you can on an indoor aerial (in the loft). I was running a small one with a amplifier/booster fitted.
You would have to be in an area with exceptional siginal strength to use aerial like on to of the TV.
I've since upgraded my aerial to a big high gain one, still internal but no need for the booster now.

We can get it from our aerial in the loft, but not from the one on the roof! It depends if the transmitter your aerial is pointing at is a main trnsmitter or a booster one.

Probably depends on your area (coverage isn't total yet) but you may not get perfect picture. We had to have our outdoor aerial replaced to get freeview - but that was years ago when it was OnDigital and coverage was weak in our village

If you mean the little ones that sit on top of your telly, mine didn't work as the signal strength wasn't strong enough.
But some aerials have boosters and batteries and claim to work, so I guess it's trial and error.

Yes, i use an indoor aerial.
Its not the best and you can get problems with some channels through interference, weather etc. But overall its ok.
