I'm thinking of getting one at the end of the year and I've seen it at Wal-Mart, but frankly I'm not really impressed. The picture looked sort of blurry but the sales lady said that was because it was hooked up to a satellite and they didn't really adjust it. I've also seen LCD TV's and they don't really look to great either. Infact my 5 year old Phillips 27" looks just as good or better than both the plasma & LCD. This is the next step in TV? What am I missing?

My brother in-law has a Samsung42'' HDTV which he bought for £1500 or $2100 the picture quality is fabulous, especially when U watch Soccer or Sci-Fi movies or perhaps anything with special FX. I would recommend it to anyone. The sound can be set as though U R at the cinema...if U buy the xtras like sensurround it will blow your mind.

If U buy 1 then make sure U buy it from a reputable dealer, don't buy it @ Wal-Markt
