i went to dublin for the day yesterday, with a friend then we bumped into another friend, and we went to tescos, my friend that we bumped into had to get food and etc so while she was doing this, i thought id get a cd. put it intp her basket paid for it, and off i went to get the train home, to waterford about 2 and a half hours away from dublin, when i got home to put the cd on, nothing in the case, so went into local tesco, they said to ring dublin, so i told my frined in dublin to go in, as she had the receipt and i had the cd cover, so they told her, that she had no prove of purchase, and that they didnt have any extra cd's and that i should of checked it before leaving the shop,!!!!!!!! now what can i do, im not giving up untill i have a refund or a replacement?????

Contact the National Consumer Rights for Ireland below, if you have a receipt for the product there should not be a problem:

LoCall 1890 432 432
Website:http://www.consumerconnect.ie/

If you are unhappy with the retailer's response go to the Small Claims Court, you can find out details about them on the link below:

http://www.consumerconnect.ie/rights_small_claims_court.html

Try to obtains a Shopper's Rights Card and carry it around with you (it will fit into a wallet or purse) if you run into trouble with retailers in the future you can show them this card.

Hope this helps.

im sorry but its your own fault for not checking it in the first place
you expect to be spoon fed all your life ..
get real this is the modern world where you dont trust anyone or anything to be correct
your obviously far to busy to check anything yourself
i wish ihad a pound for everthing ive bought over the last 40 years
that didnt work or was faulty or had missing parts
im sure there are many who would agree..LEARN FROM THIS MISTAKE dont trust anything anymore .
