Try videohelp.com. But as a general rule, the big Japanese brand names--Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, JVC--tend to be very difficult to "hack" and be made region-free. In many cases, the solution involves replacing some of the ROMs in the internal hardware.

Lesser-known brands--Philips, Magnavox, Samsung, and especially "no-names" like Apex and Cyberhome--are more likely to have a software hack as opposed to a hardware hack (i.e. one that's as easy as pushing a code on the remote control or downloading an update to disk and playing it on the DVD player).
