I dropped my camera from about 18 inches onto a wooden floor an now the lens will not open. I can't believe that such an accident should disable a "rugged" (Sony's description) camera. Any ideas for self repair / troubleshoot / or an independent repairer. (Sony charge £115 fixed fee regardless of the repair)

I want a pda/pocket pc strictly, no phone capabilities like the treo. I know the one i want comes with Integrated 802.11b and Bluetooth. But I don't have a wireless connection or hotspot at my office (it's not allowed). Is there any other way I can access the internet? Perhaps connecting thru bluetooth to my phone, which does have wireless through the Cingular service? Will that work? Or is there any other way of getting online with a PDA/Pocket PC?

What minimum hardware and software do I need .I have a seperates Hi Fi system with turntable. Can I plug the Audio out from the turntable to the soundcard on my computer without any pre amplification or should I leave the turntable connected to the amplifier and connect the output from the amplifier which now goes to the input of the tape deck to my soundcard?

how do you fix it? Well here's what the problem is. It tried to read the disk, but disk spinny thingy is like, moving way too slow. Sometimes, the spinny thing won't even spin. Or it spins, then stops, then spins agian. Plus the red light thing won't work either. How do you fix it?
