Consumer Electronics - 10 September 2006

One of my roommates accidently walked into my cable wire connected to my Panasonic television and it yanked it out of the TV. I opened up the television and it appears that part of tuner box, I believe that is what it is, has been pulled out and damaged. I am wondering if it is possible for me to fix this. If not, any ideas on how much it might cost?

I want to download movies, I have done what the book says (Which basically says download them) and it will not work. I have downloaded my pictures, and my music, but movies will not download. Please help.

I have a Luckystar V70 MP3/4 player but the instruction manual makes very little sense particularly when navigating menus to play MP3 music files. Any info on where to get a clearer manual or how to navigate menus would be appreciated.

For instance, if you have Vonage (or some other internet-based phone line), and your internet service goes out, can you plug an old-fashioned telephone into the wall & call 911 (even if you're not paying for traditional phone service)?

I have heard rumors that you can call 911 from a cell phone even if you're not paying for service, but does the same thing hold true for a traditional land line?

They are cheaper in price than the Canon lenses that I have looked at but I don't know about their quality. I would be taking photographs to sell, so it must be a high quality lens in order for me to consider using it.

I have tried to unlock my mobile phone using codes found on the internet .I have tried for 5 times and failed. I later found that if you failed to unlock the mobile withing 5 tries, it will permanantly lock the phone. Its a nokia 6680. Can you help?

It is a normal fuse where you put a peice of 5 amp wire through. It has blown 4 times, after about 10 minutes after changing, even though there is no lights switched on. I have checked switches for loose wires, but found none. but on one of them there is a green gooey substance on the wires. But the fuse first blew while i was stripping wallpaper with a steam stripper last evening!
