No knows the exact date yet because Nintendo has said that they haven't even decided yet, however they have said that they will announce the Release Date and price before the end of September. They are planing to ship six million units world wide and have promised that it will cost less than 250 dollars in the US, but if you want the latest rumors it's expect to launch in early November for only 170 Dollars.

i read that it was going to come out November 15, right before the PS3 comes out. I don't think you should buy a Wii. I've already heard some complaints about it. A PS3 may cost $450 to $600 but it is a lot better of an investment than a crappy Nintendo system. Of course I'm a Sony fan.

It is unknown. Check various websites, such as wii.ign.com , on September 14th (in the evening). Nintendo is holding various "parties" around the world. I will be supprised if the release date and price are NOT announced.

According to Wikipedia, it'll come out in late September, or anytime before Thanksgiving.
