hey guys.can i run two difference version of windows xp at the same time?maybe it something like half of my screen one os and the other half is another os.maybe its something like that.

roxio cd/dvd creator 6 is on my computer. i want to uninstall it, but there is no uninstaller in the start menu or in the program files folder under roxio. i go to the control panel and it does not appear on the add/remove programs list. how can i remove it safely and thoroughly?

the color red.

I am trying to install Prison Tycoon on my computer. Every time I click play it pops up with " DIRECT 3D RENDERER CREATION ERROR". Does anyone know what this means? I have other games I have installed with no problems. I really want to play this one and am very frustrated. Please help!!!!!

Everytime I reinstall Windows, it gets assigned to I: drive instead of C:. My card reader gets the C drive. I have already changed the BIOS to read first the CD, than the HD, but if I reinstall Windows it goes to the I drive again. In the installation proccess I can't choose the drive letter. How can I do that??

My wife's pregnant and we've a got a doppler to listen to the baby's heartbeat. I'd like to record it so we can keep it. We've got a cable that will go in the headphone socket on the doppler and into the microphone socket on my pc. All that's missing is the software. Freeware if possible. Thanks

i need something easy to use.
it has to be fast.
put it this way: i just downloaded a .avi video file. i want to burn that to a dvd so that it will work with any dvd player.

I deleted my sound driver and I found a place where i can install a new one..this one

but I have to unzip some files so i hit unzip and it says they have all been unzipped but then the installtion doesn't continue. I downloaded winzip also and i hit winzip but it just brings up another window and i dont know what to do. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am working with a brand new Gateway computer. It came with Windows vista on it. I do not like this OS and wish to install a full retail version of XP Pro. When I boot from the CD it starts the install then quits. I get a message saying the computer has been shut down. All I want to do is get rid of vista and install XP on this computer. I was told my Gateway that the computer has a "solid hard drive" and that was part of the reason I was having troubles. But they couldn't really help me out because the computer came with vista. Any suggestions?

I downloaded sims from thesims2.com, but right now they are just files on my desktop. How do I get it into TheSims2 game? I have a Mac OSX by the way, which isn't a windows, which automatically puts custom content in the game. (please don't give me advice for a windows lol)

Can anyone recommend one of these, preferably with the capability of subscribing to podcast feeds too? I understand IE 7 has this feature built in, but I tried this version of IE and it brought my ancient PC to its knees!

I'm aware of services like Bloglines/Google Reader, but I don't like the idea of a web-based one, or a seperate application - something that functions as a toolbar within IE, and automatically notifies me of updated blogs would be great if such a thing exists, as this is what I understand the new version of IE to include. Just want to automate the process as much as possible!

When I used AnyDVD to rip a DVD, I wanted it to rip JUST the movie to save space, I even changed the ripping settings, but instead it ripped the whole movie, and now I have to use a Double Layer to burn the DVD. Anyone got a solution?

My landlord sent me an email and he is with blueyounder. I have tried to email him back using hotmail and yahoo and both got returned with saying not recognised. I tried to get an account with BY but I think I have to pay can anyone tell me why my own email accounts can’t get through to him.
