i have some recordings with a lot of backgrund noise and would like to reduce that and maximise the persons voice since it is very low in my recordings.
any idea on what software i should use and wat option in that software.

Give Audacity a go it has noise and click removal features.Free from http://www.download.com

I use Adobe Audition 1.5. It has about 28 different filters to reduce noise and isolate certain frequencies.

P.S. you can find Adobe Audition 1.5 on limewire.

all what you need a software doing editing and filter try to use soundforge or nero wave editor
