One of the greatest places to look for desktop backgrounds, ie, wallpaper, is right on your own puter.. that is, your very own pictures..
after all, if you want the best pics of all, what would be better than the pictures that YOU took? Or, that somebody else in your family took? I use pics from my travels and they're better to me than those of strangers..

Try http://www.wincustomize.com - people make amazing stuff for Windows there, and they have a Wallpapers category. You don't need to pay to register and download, although donations are always appreciated and they do give you the option to remove banner ads for a fee.
