Software - March 2007

I just need to be able to layer multiple objects and text, as well as all of the basic cropping, resizing, and recoloring tools. I haven't taken any classes, so I guess this would be on an amateur level. Also, any reviews of MS Publisher?

I've managed to retrieve nearly all my data since my laptop broke, but I was wondering if its possible to retrieve my Itunes playlists at all?

Also, can one retrieve any of the scratch pad text from Google Desktop? Probably a long shot though....

I've been recently encountering an Application Error message when I try to open up any program associated with Microsoft Office.

(0xc0150002)-I believe that may be the code.

I know there is a bunch of Linux distributions, but does someone know where there is an entire site or list of all the distributions. I would really like to find this. The closest I could find is OSDir.com, any better than that?

I am going to buy a laptop soon but they are selling it with Windows Vista as the new OS.

I already uninstall it manually from my HP labtop ( I have Windows XP), but it the little logo thiing still shows on my icon box at the left bottom corner of my computer. Does this mean it wasnt really uninstalled. I clicked on the icon box and it reloads again. Help! I want it off my computer entirely. I have finally been scared enough that I am done with downloading music online for free completely!
