every time i try 2 upload it syas this:"Naruto_shippuden_1-2.avi cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again."
idon't know whats wrong i ahve Divx and all the videos have Divx capatability! can someone help me?

I recently installed WMP11. Fact is whenever I watch movies in it and make it full screen it automatically resizes after about 5 minutes or so.It is really very annoying.Is there any solution for it?Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Everytime i enter a number in excel does it automatically create a formula for it? For example, i am entering -3 - 4 and it gives me the answer after i move to the next cell or when i hit enter, but all i want is JUST to enter and see -3 - 4 and i don't want it to give me any answer. if it makes any sense, please answer. thank you

I know how to calculate the CBM which is L x W/D x H (in cm). I have a cell in Dimension column and I want the CBM column to automatically retrieve the info based on the Dimension input. I don't want to have 3 separate columns for Length, Width/Depth and Height.
Also assuming a product has two parts. Each part has its own dimension and this is indicated in one cell in Dimension column. What is the formula to calculate both dimensions and have Excel retrieve the CBM.

Sytem Restore, if you install a game but you are not happy with it or you want to get rid of it, can you use system restore on windows to get rid of it or will it still stay installed when you restore the system. You see, i was thinking of installing 'Empire Earth' Two onto it but if it takes too much memory i want to be able to get rid of it. If system restore doesen't work like this, is there any way of getting rid of it completely so my computer wont be slow (that's is i is slow if and when i install it). Ta.

We can't boot it into windows even from safe mode?

When we try and boot it from any Windows XP cd , whichever option you choose repair or fresh install you only get as far as the Blue Screen with

"Examining 76317 Mb Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi" and it
freezes any ideas?

HI I have just bought a ACER laptop with XP Media centre on it - I have ordered the free Vista premium, albeit I dont want to use it on the Laptop as I am happy with XP Media Centre, but want to put the Vista premium edition on a XP Home based machine.

The Question is does the Upgrade only install over the Media centre edition or is it a Full version, so I can install over XP Home - this is a fully licensed & validated XP Home


Has any one tried this out

PS I am aware I can only install this on one machine

I recently received video files of my newly born nephew in Australia. I have tried to figure out how to get them to play, but nothing seems to work. They are, allegedly, in AVI format - I have however discovered they are encoded using a high compression H.264 codec, which I have tried to install to Windows Media Player with no success. This has proved really frustrating and no matter what I use, eg nero digital, nothing seems to play the picture of the files - just the sound plays. Any ideas on how I can get to view the clips?

*As an additional remark, they have included a text file with comic subtitles that needs to be added to the video clips, sort of like their funny interpretation of what the baby is trying to say...how can this also be added to the file, so I can watch both at the same time?

Whenever I right click on any file or folder, either on the desktop, in windows explorer (or any equivalent program), or in the run/open/save function of any program, it causes the program to close and windows to die (everything disappear including start bar, desktop icons etc.) only to return with all the other programs running as normal. It also happens when using the CTRL+C/CTRL+V etc. functions. I can, however, cut/copy/paste/delete/rename etc. etc. files using the toolbar commands at the top of the screen...

This doesn't happen when editting text etc...

Its been like this for a while now, so I can't pinpoint anything i might've done to cause this... I've tried running virus/spyware scans in case something like that has ruined, but to no avail...

Any advice would be really helpful, this is being really inconvenient!!!!

I just upgraded to Windows Vista, however it does not come with Word, ecel, PowerPoint or Access. I sprung for the Premium Home Edition and everything. The Copy of Word I have from the XP disk will not work since I upgraded either.
Why didn't they include such a vital component? Is it simply a way they can get more money since you have to buy the new Word 2007?
