Your best bet is to insert a column, and have any sub column data be indented in that new column

For principle records, nothing appears in the 2nd column, only in the first, and for secondary lines, no need to repeat the 1st column since that is the "heading" or parent of anything in the 2nd or sub-column. Just enter data in the 2nd column, until you reach the next record, at which point the first column is again used to signify that you are on a principle record, not a sub-record.

Sorry you can't do that you can only "Add Column" (or Rows) not sub column in a worksheet. Hope this helps.

You can fake columns by merging them. Unmerged ones can be considered child columns..
