Software - March 2007

I have 3 users on 1 computer and I only want the webcam software to be accessed on 1 user account. The user account that I would use it on is not the administrator (main user). Or be able to block a downloaded software from every other user. Does anyone know of a way I can do this?

I run 3 PC's, 2 using XP, one using 2000. Each has a different CD or DVD unit. I have bought different makes of blank CD's. I crack the seal, and Microshi*te tells me the disk is full.
I managed to cut a CD today - but then the PC that cut it said that the CD was unreadable! This on the machine that had just burnt it. The other 2 machines did not recognise it.
I have Nero, etc, but should this be necessary?

as in win98 we can use dos commands without booting the windows. can we done it with windowsXp. i got some spy wares on by c drive which cannot be deleted when window is working. previously i use nortran commander to delete files in dos mode.

Hey everyone

I've made a dvd of pictures for a friend, the proplem I'm having is the software saves the file as a .dvd but I'd prefer to have it as a WMV so I can upload to youtube.

Just wondering if anyone knows of some free software that will convert the .dvd?

I've had to do a Quiz in Powerpoint and the answers I linked to two pages. One "Correct" page and one "Wrong" page but the problem I'm having is the links are a standard green colour which is making me lose out on marks because they don't go with the background so then cannot be seen. Is there a way in Powerpoint I can change the colour of the Hyperlinks without too much difficulty? I'm really stuck an' if I don't do this I'm just only going to get a Pass instead of a Merit or Distinction

i found some new fonts that i want installed on my computer but everytime try to open the files that i have zipped, all i get is the sample page for that font, and no explination on how i am supposed to get it to my wordpad to use it, what am i doing wrong, please help me, and feel free to tell me like i am a 2 year old, cause when it comes to stuff like this, i am like one, i have no clue what to do

It started to get slower and slower, then it dogged me to upgrade. After upgrading, it tanked. I play one song, then when I double click another one it doesn't play. You have to restart it every time. I'm forsaking the program for good. What good audio players can you recommend?

I am about to buy a new PC as my 6-year old computer with Windows Me operating system has reached the end of its life. I mainly use my PC for three things: internet, word processing and games (mainly retro). I hardly ever download music or videos. I have a bunch of tables in a word document, and want to copy them as is into excel. Everything works fine, except one of the table contains text over several lines. Excel then makes each line a new cell. Any ideas?

I am able to boot it up to a point where I will enter my username and password, but when I type my password and click OK, it simply says "Applying user settings" and after a few seconds "saving user settings" after which it gives me the login page again. I must say that I recently removed some viruses from the PC. However, even when they where on it, I was able to start up the PC. It is running on Windows 2000.
Hope someone can help me.
