use the original disk,will Windows Vista allow you to play it...if you're NOT file sharing on the web?

Have not done it will Vista, but have with XP. Since it is the same version of Windows Media Player, it should work on Vista.

Whether you are sharing the file on the web or not will make no difference on whether WMP can play the video or not.

It depends on what software you used to copy it to your hard drive. Most commercial copiers will convert it to a regular media file that Vista will play with no problem.

that's common, insert the dvd, report seach then reproduction all information from DVD in a folder. Copyright and so forth can furnish up you doing this. this is between the justifications it would not artwork many of the time. you could eliminate this tho i'm no longer able to reveal how on right here, Google it !! adam

You cannot copy a DVD to a file. You must rip the individual files from their directory (menu) structure.

You should be able to play it. but you have to rip (copy) the CD into you music library first
