No such software? Obviously some of the people that respond to these questions are as more clueless than the person asking. Try downloading ccleaner from freewarefiles.com , Also download one of several start up managers to see whats starting with windows and removing crap like Real Player, Itunes, Adobe, Windows Media player, Quicktime, etc. from starting with Windows. Especially Real Player (The spyware king). Getting more ram will obviously speed it up as well. If all of this fails its time to reload XP because its corrupt and just filled with too many bad uninstalls, clutter, junk software etc. Also defrag your computer and perform a scan disk.

software is the secondary option u can do it without it
. first clean the temp files
->see for ur system tray is it jumbled up with icons
then go to run ->msconfig
u will be presented with system configuratiopn utility screen where u can see on e tab with the name 'startup' click on it and uncheck what all bull **** s are not required
and apply the settings
-> here u will have to compromise with the appearence ie interface ....> right clicK my computer->properties->advanced->performance ->performance options ->chose the adjust for the best performance

-> same performace option u cud see ->advance d tab ->virtual memeory ->increase teh virtual memory size
v.m i s nothing but when system run s out memory it will use the specified hard disk size as a memory

-> and after all this

do this
->run->regedit->hkey-users->default->control panel->desktop
(right side panel)look for ->apllication hungout key reduce the no
then -> auto end task ->make it 1 by default it is 0

To get the best results, i advice you to make a backup of all your files (documents, pics, music, video and etc), format the hard disk and make 4 or more partitions depending on the size of the hard disk. Then, you should install Windows and MS. Office on one partition, install all your software on the second partition, save all your files that you had backed up earlier on the third partition. The fourth partition should be used as a backup for all your files if you want.

Make sure that you also install an anti virus software.

1. clean all the temporary files by right clicking start menu - click properties - customize - clear. 2. Use ccleaner utility to clean your computer and fix if there is any registry issues. 3. Use good antivirus utility and anti spyware utility to check for virus or spyware if any and remove. 4. Run Disk Defragmentation process. If all the above has failed to increase the speed try to increase the pagefile size by right clicking My computer - properties - Advanced Tab - Performance settings - Advanced Tab - Virtual memory change button - set initial size and maximum size - click ok, ok & ok.
Hope this will increase the speed of your system.

When u boot ur PC, windows starts some services, called as startup applications and services. These services uses much system resources and most of them are not needed. To remove these services go...
Start->Run->"MSCONFIG"->startup tag/services

Also Restore feature of Windows xp eats up lot of memory.

Alternately you can use TweakXP tool, which will do all these tasks for u. Download it from....
