You can't get Powerpoint for free, but you can get something similar. OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/) is an open source program that does many of the same things as MS Office. It contains a program called Inspire for creating presentations, which is similar to powerpoint and can save files in powerpoint format.

You appear to be under the impression that Powerpoint comes with Windows. It doesn't - it is included in MS Office which you need to buy separately. But you can do most what you want with Open or Star Office, which are free.

Powerpoint viewer is a free download from the Microsoft site. If you want to generate presentations then you'll have to buy MS Office of some flavour.
