I have seen on mst windows xp systems that you can open your cd drive in my computer, then drag the files across and then copy them.

i cannot open the box needed from the cd drive, and when i go to copy, i says please insert disc, when the disc is already in place.

please help

When i tried to install XP a store bought item, an error pops up says You may have canceld the wizard. I also cked. compatabilty its fine. anybody have a good answer. Please dont give senareos. Thank you very much, Don H

I'm having Firefox 2.0.01. The problem with my Firefox is I am unable to view videos. A fade Quicktime logo with a white question mark on top of it appears very the videos should be playing. How to solve this problem?

in my pc "Device manager".. when I click "Sound, video and game controllers" .. and when I click "properties".. there's written only "sound, video and game controllers".. but there has to be smt more coz I use speakers.. but now they r not working.. and I know that the problem is not with them... but with the pc.. maybe u can help me? what should I do to make them work.. ? and when I click "windows media player" it opens behind the screan.. so I can't use it too.. can anybody help me?

I recently had trouble with a file on my primary hard drive with a system 32 file. i tried to repair this but was not succesful. I use 2 HD's one slave and one master, i decided to switch the roles as i have windows installed on both, i was able to log into windows on my slave hard drive and was going to transfer all essential folders and files from my master over to my slave, then reinstall windows onto my master and transfer the files and folders back over to the correct destination. is this the best thing to do, and would it now be worth installing vista onto the master hard drive. and advice would be great, thanks.

I Just cloned the disk of my old computer to use in my new one but it was ntsc and got a disc read error ( i am assuming this is why ?? )

I have a laptop in which there was Windows XP Home.
The HDD has been replaced and I don't have the Restore Disc.
I have a Certificate of Aunthencity sticker on my laptop, which has the serial number on it...

I have tried the usual procedure e.g.: right click on desktop-properties-change icon and so on. After that an insignificant icon popsup on screen which is not the one I had chosen during the process. I have just been dragging them from the Application folder but I have noticed that some of the folders can still be found in spotlight. even after I empty the trash.
