No its not. Just make sure that you take MPC in Intermediate i.e 10+2 so that you can join an enginerring college. Also, preferance is given to those who opt CSE (Computer Science Engineering)or CSIT (Computer Science and Information technology) branch in engineering.

No it is not so necessary .Because computer is such a subject that you can learn whenever you wish and further to become Computer engineer taking Computer in class XI will be sufficient and you could learn the computer basics in you leisure.My Uncle is presently a Software Engineer and he did not have any computer knowldge till +2.This is my answer rest is your choice.

i think you shouldnot study now.
can u tell me if how u fare bad in 10th std ,how u will get in the science stream.? software engg is appicable for science student .
if u want to study computer in science , u must fare well in 10th.
if u willnot fare well, u will get hindi as well as biology instead of computer science because it selected students according to merit list.
we find some college ofter biology and i.t .(less number of college)
please focus now 10th than computer engg or software engg.
can u tell how building can be build?
suppose building is 12th floor.
it first build 1th floor , then 2nd ,then 3rd and so on instead of 1th then 12th, then 9th.
please dont focus on higher level.

while @ +2 u can opt that.
now u concentrate in ur studies and try to score good marks ..
as scores from 10 is been considered for a s/w engg in his career growth
