I have a laptop in which there was Windows XP Home.
The HDD has been replaced and I don't have the Restore Disc.
I have a Certificate of Aunthencity sticker on my laptop, which has the serial number on it...
So what should I do to get Genuine Windows other than buying the whole thing for Rs. 6,495.00?

eMail MS and advise them of the situation, including the serial number of the OS.

Also if your computer is a prebuilt system, as in it's a Dell or HP, then you can go to their site and order the reformat disks for around $30. Looks like you have all the info to provide them or Microsoft.

click commence, element to All courses, element to upload-ons, element to gadget techniques, and then click Scheduled initiatives. click both Chkdsk or Autochk contained in the record of scheduled initiatives. less than Folder initiatives, click Delete this merchandise you may delete each thing out of scedule initiatives in case you dont understand what they're.
