Software - January 2007

Hey all,
Most of you tech nerds will know that the "Sys Rq" key, or System Request, was originally designed for the abandoned MS-DOS 7 project. As you know, DOS 7 never came out, yet the Sys Rq key remained for some reason. My question is this: Does anybody know what the Sys Rq key was supposed to do in DOS 7 exactly? And does anybody know if any modern programs use it for anything at all? And do you personally feel that it should be removed, or keeped for the sake of tradition?

This is a personal question, and also the "Next Great Nerd Question" of the day lol.

I forgot to back-up some software and as a result I lost my X-Copy
Xpress, from 321 studios. If someone knows of a site where I
could download it please tell me. AQll I find are empty sites!!!

The internet must have gone haywired coz Limewire,Imesh,ProxyShare,and others are 100% useless!! They cannot connect to the internet at all but i STILL CAN!!!!!!!!!!!! It happened 1 week ago. Ok guys, i recently updated to Windows Professional and i lost this photo-editing program i used to have. I want to get it again but i don't remember the name, unfortunately, does anyone know of a website where i can see a list of a lot of these programs, i'm sure i'll recognize it if i see it. When you opened it, a computer picture of this woman's top part of her face came out with blue eyes. That's all i remember, does anyone recognize it? Thanks.

We intend to use LGPL-based (GNU Lesser General public License) software to our business project that is privately used only. We modify, rewrite, rebuild large parts of that software to fit our need. We don't sell or ship to any other partners, what we do is running our business on that software. Do we have to publish our modifications as open source? We do not want to do this because of our business-secret. Are we violate the law if keeping new modifications silent?
