Please help! We have Windows 2000 Propfesional on our PC and it's the Pits we have a new copy of Windows XP Home Editon, how can remove the 2000 and load the XP OP system?

just boot your computer ,from the disk,and follow the instructions,that appear on your screen,,make sure that you format,,or your computer will not run properly,,if you need anymore help,,you may email me

Personally, I would uninstall Windows2000. Reboot your computer with the Windows XP setup CD in the CDROM and let it boot into the Windows Setup screen. Let it load all the drivers. Then choose option 1 and start the clean installation. When it is done, reboot the computer.

First make sure you have enough RAM for XP. Like maybe 512MB. XP uses more memory than Win2000. I'm sure all you have to do is load the disc and follow the on screen directions. You can also read what's written on the box the disc came in.

Just load x-p over it. No need to format.
