ok i have a windows xp home edition computer and i just got a computer that my uncle gave me and it is a windows xp home edition computer. i just bought windows xp professional and i want to format the hard dirve and get rid of everything in it how do i format my hardrive and install winodws xp professional?? i just dont know how and i am afraid i can do something to the computer!! please help!!

I searched for "Lauchpad" and found it on my comp, but it wont let me delete it! This is annoying the hell out of me! How do I delete this? If I can't then, I'm returning the USB drive and I'll find a way to make Sandisk pay to clean their damn program off of my computer! I've been using USB drives for years and I've never seen this!

In Microsoft Word I typed a recap of a family reunion in different fonts and colors with some clip art. I decided to put a frame around the text and came across the directions to do so. (I didn't want a plain line like a text box line). The examples even showed one that had some squiggily line type frames. The next day I tried to find the directions for placing a frame around the text, and all I could find were directions for placing text lines around text or lines around tables. Does anyone know how I can access the drop down or sub drop down menu about how to create frames around a document? Please answer if you do.

I have internet explorer. Everytime I need to go to a website that requires flash, I click get flash. So it sends me here ---http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash-- I click install now. Nothing happens, a little red x shows up in the corner. It says there is sussposed to be a installation completion movie, but nothing happens.

I have been using Limewire, an excellent P2P file sharing network for MP3 files. It is far superior to sites like Kazaa, with which I had lots of problems. I assumed Limewire is legal, but am not certain. Anybody know for sure? Please only comment if you know.

many ppl hav warned about editing registry unless user is an expert.. many ppl hav used the term 'machine unusable'..etc..well if registry is corrupt, what is the worst thing that can happen.. hardware damage or OS failure? in case of OS failure, OS can again be installed, cant? so the only fear is about loosing all data.. is there anything else that can go wrong if registry gets corrupt while editing? pls explain..

I was thinking about getting into medical transcription and wanted to be lazy by using software. I figure I may have to perform an extra step by putting the original file into a file using my voice first and then use software to convert that.

My PC was slow so I put in the Master CD I created using the Packard Bell Master Disc Creator and it took about two hours to restore my PC. I think that before I did this I had Windows Pro and now I defnitely have Windows Home Edition. The way the computer logs off is a small box saying Windows is logging off which is different. Besides this my computer is very slow now (I have had it less than six months) and unresponsive. It says "I cannot "read" memory. I cannot do anything like create administrators, delete cache, history, I can install but not run programs. My computer is always crashing. I have been told that I should do a destructive recovery. I tried when I am presented with the Purple Packard Bell screen and press F11 but it would just load normally. Do I need to do Destructive recovery and if so can you walk me through every step? Is it F11 I need to press, if so why didnt it respond when I tried this?Tust me I cannot afford for this to die on me? I Just cant
