I downloaded an iso file and it is more than 1 gig..I dont have dvd burner but i have a cd burner... As cd can only store up to 800mb, is there any way i can burn them and use them?

I have a four year old Pc
Operating system: Windows XP home
Processor: Pentium4, 2.4 Ghz
Memory: 512MB
Hard disk: 65% if free at the moment
None of the program is to set to run at start-up (Except Northern antivirus)

But it’s still running very slowly. I have update Windows xp and antivirus.
I also done the full virus scan as well. There is no virus.

I have Nero 6.0, and a DVD writer which supports up to 12X.

I tried to burn my files to DVDR as backup, but the progress stopped at 1% and did not response afterwards.

What should I pay attention to before burning a data DVD?

It is known that 7zip is able to ultra compress file. Example, a 70Mb 7-zip file contains a 2Gb file. I downloaded such file before. However, I fail to demonstrate such capability with 7-zip myself. How others did it?

I have 1.5 gigs of ram and 200 gig hard drive with a Pentium(R) 4 processor. The Geek Squad recommended PC Cillan. I had two friends who work with computers recommend Norton. Nobody recommended McAfee. Is there a good web site to compare these products?

So my brother was using my mac to put songs on his ipod, and then he tells me it's being all weird...

and there is the black screen asking for a login and password,
and saying Darwin.

My password and login doesn't work

How do I go about fixing this problem?
Also, will fixing this problem affect files that I have on my mac?

OK my parents think it's childish to play computer games (thief3, splinter cell, COD2...etc) but i don't think so. There is somthing in these things that just keeps me going on. Somtimes I stand up for myself, but paps just dosn't want to hear it. I just don't know how to explain this to my parrents. Can you give me some good advice? Tnx
