Vista copies a lot of stuff from the Mac OS like:
Aero (Aqua)
Gadgets (Widgets)
Sidebar
Windows Calender (iCal)
iPhoto-like app
Spotlight-like under the start menu

Of course you could argue that these things are intuitive and that anybody would make these types of improvements, but the similarities on how these things work (and the names) is what makes it obvious where the inspiration came from.

OSX has been out since 2001 with 5 major releases (actually 6 if you count the PPC to Intel switch), and XP has had what, like SP1 to SP2...with everything about the same, except more compatible? Mac OS 10.5 is going to be released a tad bit before Vista's official release, according to Apple, but in my opinion, Vista is about as advanced as 10.1, and the color scheme still isn't right!

I prefer Mac to any Microsoft product.
Mac is faster, it lets you run two or more tasks at the same time, you can use Windows and Mac at the same time on your computer, there is less possibility of a virus then on Windows.
They are building in the Macs what they call a dual core processor, witch makes the computer go faster and gets blocked less.
Hope I have convinced you

I'd go with the vista. Mac tends to be more expensive.
