I am currently using Ares as a music downloading programme. However i cant seem to place the downloaded music into my music folder on my desktop (which means i cant burn to CD) Any ideas how i can transfer them to my desktop folder??

I had two NTFS partitions on my hdd and had winXP installed. due to slow performance i formatted c: from windows 98 setup disc(big mistake, i think) and installed windows 98. But the drive d: (other NTFS partition) didnt show up in windows explorer in win98 - then i came to know that win98 doesnot support NTFS system and upgraded to winXP. but again i didnt see d: . I chose only to format ONE partition in win98 setup - and that was c:\ .... can anyone tell me what could be the problem \ mistake and what can i do to access the other partition -d drive?i have a presario m2000 laptop so attaching hard disk to another machine is not passible... i have some important data there... (yes i know im a jackass)

it wont open some of my older flash mx files... man its f*cked up...
i made a file in flash mx 2004 professional and saved it as a "flash mx" file, it still wouldnt open in the other computer which has flash mx installed in it..

I have recently installed Norton Internet Security on my Home PC and now it takes 15 minutes to start up and is extremely slow. The PC is an HP Pavilion 7915 using Windows XP Pro with a 20GB Hard Drive (15 Used) 128MB 1 GHz Intel Celeron M chip. Can anyone suggest how to speed things up without deleting Norton Internet?

When I try to open a particular file, I right click the file and select "open with". A new window appears asking me to select the program from the list. I select notepad and want to check the box that says "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" but it is greyed out. How can I solve this? Thanks in advance.

I have windows XP with SP2 installed on my computer. It was working well. Since few days whenever I open My Network Places, it opens so late. Remaining functions of windows XP are working well. I have P-IV with 512 MB RAM. There is not any virus & spyware as I have checked it with latest AVG & Ewido. I dont want to format my computer. Kindly help me in order to fix the problem.

My current code right after teh tag is background="location" bgproperties="fixed". That does not work though... I see the picture fine, but it moves when I scroll.

Also, if you know, can I make frame borders invisible?

I don't use these programs. (I'm happy with Open Office, especially the price--$0.) So are there ramifications to deleting the trial versions of Access, Word, Excel, etc. that came with the computer?
