Just so I can put the chorus as my ringtone (Instead of the beginning on the song). Anyone know of any free software I can download that will let me "chop up" a song?

PS READ CAREFULLY:
I already have the the latest version of RealPlayer but it cannot play .mpeg or .avi(I haven't tried other formats). I have the setup for VLC in tar.gz format. Is it a correct software? If it is, how to install it on Linux(please give me precise step-by-step answer as I have already tried the Readme file. I hardly understood). If you have any other player in .rpm or something, suggest me and provide me with the link to download. I am really obsessed with Linux. Guys PS HELP!!

Ok i heard about a psp program by sony that alows you to download music movies game demos and more when i looked up the info all i could find were coments from jan. 2005 about how the program is going to compeate with itunes. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY INFO ANYTHiNG HELPS!!! ~

I have got quite a long way into Half Life 2 on Xbox but right at the end of one of the levels after a few seconds it just locks up.
I don`t think you can alter or upgrade an Xbox so why does it do this?

i have a sony vaio running windows ME and want to uninstall it and install windows XP. the windows XP disk i have is for a new dell pc. will it still work on my sony vaio...or where can i find the appropriate windows XP disks free or cheap? my laptop response time is SLOW and i'm sure it has to do with the instability of the ME platform. I'm trying to split a big ol' monitor into two seperate images. I don't have desk space to physically add a second monitor, so I want to split this monitor I have into two smaller images. I'm using a widescreen Samsun LCD monitior on Windows XP. Thanks!

I want to copy some chapters from different commercially available concert DVDs and put them on my laptop hard drive for portable viewing. No software is available in the US to do this. I've been told be US manufacturers that their sortware exists overseas and will do what I need, but they can't legally sell it to me. Can someone please provide me a distributor name that carries DVD ripping and editing software in order to do what I'm looking for as well as even creating compilation DVDs of my own with the ability to create on screen menus. If we are legally able to do it with CDs, why not DVDs? HELP, HELP, HELP!!!
