I have been reading and hearing about this new technology where they say that you can pause Live TV on PC or record it and play it again later. Is this because of software or some new hardware? If software which is it, or if it is due to hardware what is the specification?

My 8 month old daughter was smacking my keyboard this evening and somehow rotated my entire screen 90 degrees. Everything is shifted, web pages, the desktop, and the task bar. How do I correct this?

It was a 1GB video file and when I converted it to WAV it took like a second to convert, but the file it made is only a small fraction of what I wanted to convert.
I used a trial version of ConvertMovie 3.0 to convert the vob file to ultimately acquire the wav file.

I noticed that I have multiple versions installed such as 6.0 - 6.1 - 6.2, my computer is an older model and could use the additional memory I'd be saving.

no offense to microsoft, but vista sounds a little...pointless.

basically to me, it sounds like the Win2000 - XP story. i mean, seriously, i had Win2k Pro, got a computer with XP for christmas, and the only difference i can tell is the "better" visual themes. same security, same reliability, same just-about-everything. (though i did just remember that XP has compatibility mode whereas Win2k did not. good job, gates.)

but i mean, what's so great about vista? i know it's supposedly a "revolution" for microsoft's file system as we know it, but who's to say that a copy of Win2000 or XP won't do the job just as well? (and for less $$$!)

i say we shouldn't be holding our breaths and waiting to buy "prettier" vista-standard computer systems, but i don't know. thoughts?

I am trying to write a program that highlights all the cells that are a certain attribute so I can simply press delete. The only way I've gotten close to it is by writing a macro that turns the cells a certain color. I want to find some sort of macro that is like:

Range("Datebase")
If Activecell = ... Then
Select.

The problem is that when I get one cell to select, selecting another usually deselects the first. Can this be done? Can I get a macro to multiple select? I'd appreciate your help.

It just runs and runs without ever defragmented anything. It just keeps checking the files and re-starting. I'm running Windows 98, by the way. (Yes, I know- I need to update my whole system)
