Software - June 2006

Simply put, I've got a copy of Flash MX Pro 2004, and I'd like to find some free or low-cost tutorials. Failing that, what books or videos are the best choices?

I have reason on my computer and I'm learning to use it. The drum machine is awesome. I've been unable to figure out how to record vocals, though. I read somewhere that reason isn't good for vocals, and I dont care about that - I just want to know how to do it. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

If it's impossible, what software do you recommend for recording vocals?

I have an IBM Thinkpad Laptop PIII with windows 2000 and everytime I turn on the pc it takes around 8-10mins to come up, what going on?

I know this is vague, but randomly Y!M crashes or just closes. There is no pattern to when it crashes, either time-wise or what I was doing at the time. I have installed the latest version, and the US version (seperately), reinstalled Flash, Java and taken the skin off. There is an error report given, which I send to Microsoft and it tells me to download the latest. And just to finish it off, I emailed Yahoo! Customer Care and they told me that 4.5 crashed a lot and I need 7. The only thing is I have only used 7.5 on this machine.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Like I say, this is a vague question as the crashes are random and with no error messages.

I use Windows XP Home SP2 and IE6, and have the latest version of DirectX, Java, Flash, drivers, etc.

after enjoying google earth and world wind so much i am wondering is there is any more earth viewers avalible for download
i have seen one on n\zone called keyhole but you need a nvidia card and it wont work with a ati card
there is a add-on pack for google earth called sketch up were you can make your own 3d buildings like the ones you can see in new york on google earth

What audio editing programs are there that will let me do ALL of the following?

Speed up and slow down
Change pitch
Play reversed
Cut/Copy/Paste/Splice
Save the edited version, not just play it.

i have a pentium 4 p.c (3.2ghz) and i wish to restore it again(this will be the secomd time)and i am worried that i wont be able to activate windows!
i am restoring it with the recovery cd that came with the system so in theory i should be able to activate windows again as restore means the condition it was when i got it out the box
if i cant activate it ,have i the right to ask for another recovery cd as it is still under warranty?
any answers will be great

The last time I burned a CD on my mom's computer, all the songs came out scratchy sounding like old vinyl records used to when they were scratched. Does it sound like it needs fixed or is there a self cleaning disc I can put in the drive?

i have this file in RAR format.i downloaded this file trom www.filerating.com.it is an audio file but it is not playing.
also i have an other file which is supposed to be in .exe format but is in RAR.
