can somebody tell me a free downloadable software which can convert fomats of files?

i have this file in RAR format.i downloaded this file trom www.filerating.com.it is an audio file but it is not playing.
also i have an other file which is supposed to be in .exe format but is in RAR.

plz help.....

Do a web search for rar - that is a compressed format along the line of a zip file - you need a decompressor.

type in at google "convert rar" or "convert rar to mp3"
