I'm reposting this, as the last time I posted this question, no one actually bothered to read the entire question.
Now that Macs can run windows, I'm still wondering exactly HOW well this type of software works, from what I've read on the apple web site (listed below) it doesnt look like some type of emulation of windows anymore, it sounds a bit like a compatablity layer (such as running windows programs on a linux box). I've been curious about purchacing a mac for a while, mainly the thing that got me is that there softwere is based off of FreeBSD. Berkley being only a couple hours away and all, i'm somewhat of a fan (after all what techy doesnt really appreate the unix structure?). Anyway getting back to the point, how well does this software work, can linux programs be recomipled to work under the Mac OS?
Notice that the question is in the software part of these forums, meaning I dont want answers on well you should buy a PC because...
