After the Guide information is downloaded successfully and I go to Guide it says no information available . I noticed the problem after I ran “Registry Mechanic”.. How can I trouble shoot this problem ? Where is the file that the Guide info is stored in? Could I be missing a .dll ?

Had Orig. 2002 now upgraded 2004 sp2

I did have this problem once before but fixed it after I relized I had set my Computer Time/Date a month ahead. Chucky

Popcorn was developed by Lacral in 1988. It is a brick/pingpong type game. My dad was obsessed with it and I am trying to locate it for him, before his birthday. If anyone knows if it is even avaliable for Windows it would be extremly helpful to know. And where do I find it if it is? Thanks!

Each time I power up, a dialog box appears informing me that my copy of Windows XP is not genuine. How do they know? When I select the 'Get Genuine' option, I am offered a Windows XP installation pack for £92 (call it $150). Has anybody else had such a problem? Isn't the amount demanded by Microsoft a little excessive?

I have a gmail account that I want to utilize Outlook to receive emails. For some reason, it allows me to use outlook express, but if I configure Outlook, I get an error message. Anybody has setup that would allow you to get an access to gmail via Outlook?

a friend of mine sent me an .avi file from europe and when i went to play it the windows media player had started playing the sound, but told me it couldn't get the codec and will not show me the image... now, i like what i hear, but i'd really like to be able to see it... so how do i get this codec and why do i need it?

I'm reposting this, as the last time I posted this question, no one actually bothered to read the entire question.

Now that Macs can run windows, I'm still wondering exactly HOW well this type of software works, from what I've read on the apple web site (listed below) it doesnt look like some type of emulation of windows anymore, it sounds a bit like a compatablity layer (such as running windows programs on a linux box). I've been curious about purchacing a mac for a while, mainly the thing that got me is that there softwere is based off of FreeBSD. Berkley being only a couple hours away and all, i'm somewhat of a fan (after all what techy doesnt really appreate the unix structure?). Anyway getting back to the point, how well does this software work, can linux programs be recomipled to work under the Mac OS?

Notice that the question is in the software part of these forums, meaning I dont want answers on well you should buy a PC because...

im going to get a new computer soon, but i have an old windows ME. i want to upgrade that to windows xp, but i think it would run really slow on my ME, because of old parts and the fact that it only has 19 gb. our old xp fried, and i found what fried in it, but i need to replace that part for it to work. i really dont want to do that, because that part would be impossible to find because my xp is mini sized and everything is smaller. so im just wondering is there any other parts besides memory upgrade that i should do to upgrade my ME. i dont want to spend a lot of money on this, because it wont be my main computer. how much do you think it would cost to upgrade mostly all of my ME's motherboard and memory and ram etc. and to buy a windows xp installation disk?????? plz help
