I have windows vista, and for some reason no games will install correctly on my computer. When trying to install my daughters nancy drew game I recieve the following message:
ERROR - incorrect path to INI file- C:\Nancy Drew\ Danger On Deception Island\game.INI

Can someone please help me figure out how to install these games????

My boss has asked me to try to find something that has Google Mini capabilities without the hefty $2000+ price. Basically, he wants everyone in the office to be able to search our server using a user-friendly desktop search engine (like Google Desktop, but for servers). Any ideas?

Hi...I'm helping an author write a book. He needs some specific examples of recent medical breakthroughs (say in the last 10 years or so), new drugs, or innovations made possible by the increased processing speed of computers and/or the ability to communicate quickly over long distances via technologies such as the Internet. Suggestions can be in any aspect of medicine, but we are especially interested in cancer, heart disease, diabetes, or obesity.

The more specific details or links you can provide the better, since we will have to source our references in the book.

Someone once showed me one way to change how the keyboard letters appear when typed. I forgot how to do it the way they showed me, and want to know if anyone else knows?

- It went something like: Press certain keys on the keyboard at the same time ... while holding them down, press certain keys on the numeric keypad. Then let go of all the keys.

- Now when you type, the letters will look different. Like an overscore over the letter "e", over the letter "i", etc... or something.

Does anyone know this technique? And if you do, can you tell me which keys to press?

I am trying to fill-out a form that I received as an e-mail. The form has a list of items where I need to enter information, but when I click on the line where the info needs to go, I get a solid black bar that won't accept the things that I am trying to type in. I have a Dell Poweredge 1500SC server. Its running a board with 2 P3 1.2ghz processors, 1gb sdram, 6 scsi 200gb hard drives which are raided as 2 logical drives.
Is it possible to take apart and use the mainboard, processors and ram as the basis for a desktop, with ide hard drives?
I am low on cash and cannot afford to build a new comp, someone suggested I take it apart and sell for parts. Not sure what to do.
