About 96-97 on a pay as you go dial up service. I remember the shock of the telephone bills in those days.
On reflection, I used a system called Tradanet (or possibly Tradernet) in the early days of the Internet, probably late eighties.

i tried the internet for the first time in 2001 whilst i was at college in a computer class. i then got my own computer / connection to the internet back in the spring of 2005, and now i'm totally addicted, and would hate to be without it !

my first pc in 1995 internet ready from time thought it was the mutts nutts and still have it working underneath my workstation,as a second pc for kids homework, few upgrades later new ram,cpu the old socket seven running 450ghz and the old pc100 128mb ram x2 .using the ethernet and it still connects to internet with no problems 12yrs later.
saying that at the time it was a very expensive pc (cost £1500 for full package) twice as much as the one i,m using now but got monies worth don,t you think!!! (still the first person in uk with my name to sign up to freeserve/wanadoo now orange and still have same email address)

Yeah would of been at primary school.. and was really privileged if you went on the computer..
