Someone once showed me one way to change how the keyboard letters appear when typed. I forgot how to do it the way they showed me, and want to know if anyone else knows?

- It went something like: Press certain keys on the keyboard at the same time ... while holding them down, press certain keys on the numeric keypad. Then let go of all the keys.

- Now when you type, the letters will look different. Like an overscore over the letter "e", over the letter "i", etc... or something.

Does anyone know this technique? And if you do, can you tell me which keys to press?

It's a trick to enter extended ASCII characters from the keyboard.

First of all, here's the entire table:

Look at the 2nd half of the table, the 128-255

Make sure numlock is ON, hold down the ALT key, and enter the 3 digit number on the decimal side. Let go of ALT.

For example, ╫ is ALT 215

® = ALT + 0174
© = ALT + 0169

Have fun discovering new combos. Make sure numlock is on. Hold down alt and type 3 or 4 numbers. Have fun!
