It is very simple to open. Now a days everybody using Nero Smart start. I have studied the problem of open .bin files and written a blog.

Consult the documentation for the unit at the manufacturer's website. Usually you perform the upgrade from within the device's utility. What is the make and model of the unit? If you need step by step instructions, advise.

Open Router's management page, and in one of the menus you'll find "update firmware", where you enter the path to the .bin file you downloaded. Select it, hit "update", and the router will read the .bin file and update itself.
