"The name worm comes from The Shockwave Rider, a science fiction novel published in 1975 by John Brunner. Researchers John F Shoch and Jon A Hupp of Xerox PARC chose the name in a paper published in 1982; The Worm Programs, Comm ACM, 25(3):172-180, 1982), and it has since been widely adopted."--Wikipedia

As for the Trojan, it refers to the Trojan Horse. This was a giant wooden horse that was given to the ancient city of Troy, supposedly as a gift, after a long seige. In fact, it contained Greek soldiers, who waited inside and snuck out and invaded the city once everyone was drunk from celebrating their "victory." A Trojan virus works the same way. It disguises itself as a harmless program, but when the user installs it, the virus starts to disable their system.

Worm, its because its characteristic is like a true worm, it goes deeply into your system files and destroy on what it was programmed like a true worm it feeds on leaves of destroy crops.

Trojan, have you read or seen the movie "elen of troy". There is a Large wooden horse that is full of soldiers that was given by the opponents side. When the night stike, soldiers inside the wooden horse attacked the city. Trojan virus also behaves this way. It can be downloaded from an unsafe site which users are not aware of. When it is already downloaded, it attacks your computer.

The term comes from the a Greek story of the Trojan War, in which the Greeks give a giant wooden horse to their foes, the Trojans, ostensibly as a peace offering. But after the Trojans drag the horse inside their city walls, Greek soldiers sneak out of the horse's hollow belly and open the city gates, allowing their compatriots to pour in and capture Troy.

Well, the "worms" wiggle their way into Programs that we recieve that are not protected from outside changes; while "Trojans" enter our Computers disguised as something ELSE (Like the Trojan Horse that was given as a "gift" to ancient TROY- that was filled with Warriors, who came out & captured the city!). "Extras" like THESE- we can do- without!!! :(
