I have lost the product key number for Microsoft Office 2007 and need to type up a document today. Can anyone reccommend a free program I can download that is good for typing up papers?

I'm relocating to another town and while I'm out there looking for places to live, I'd like to have a laptop with wireless access to assist my apartment search. I don't want to buy one, I only need it for two or three days. I've found rental companies that rent computer equipment for business functions, but they want you to submit a request for a price quote and then they'll ship it to you across country overnight. What's up with that? This seems to be a huge hole in the marketplace. Where's the U-haul of computers? I want to walk in, pick it up, and pay my $20 a day when I return it. Does anything like that exist? Anywhere?

i have a free aol account that i rarely use anymore and i want to cancel it. I went to the link they gave me...i chose doing it electronically because let's face it, if i have to call them, i would have to wait for hours before they get to me...so anyways, it didnt work...so, is there any way i can cancel my account? besides stops using it?

when i put a cd or a game into my drive on the computer nothing happens....it just wont read it.....when i try to manually start it....it doesnt show there is anything in it....is there a setting i can fix???????????

My dog just like 5 mins ago chewed up the wire for the laptop and i was wondering since im trying to doctor it up, if i put transparent tape around the wires will it mess anything up or blow up? or woul d it be fine.

When I open a website, a temp file is downloaded to my temp internet folder...when i try to save the temp file it says that the file is in use by another process...The problem is that when i close firefox (to close the program) the file is automatically deleted...Is there a way to save the file before it is deleted? Thanks!

how can i retreive files from my dvd-rw when it wont appear but the total size of the CD is just about the files that i saved before? its not actually gone but it wont come out and i need the files... HELP!

oh and i think it happened bcause i canceled the browsing process when it was still reading.. then i tried all sorts of stuff but only a part would come out!:(
but when i left it for a fewdays it came back but then now its not working, not everything is coming out... all files are pictures and i dont have a back up copy for it.. so i need help.

Do you think a university that instructs its students to do ONLY programming assignments and nothing else,

and also does not teach adequately the concepts behind IT

and does not give its students a chance to do research on IT can be regarded a good university?

I used to use Bittorrent, and used it to get Adobe Flash 8. Somehow, Charter found out and sent an email to my Dad (I get my wireless internet from him) saying that this was a warning. I used to use ROMs on my old computer to play Gameboy games, but I've hesitated ever since the Bittorrent incident because I don't want any legal action. How did they figure out what I had done, and how can they find out if I use ROMs?
