I'm hearing closing doors on my speakers ?? AIM or ???

Hi, I just signed on to AIM for the first time and chatted with the friend who sent me there. But all day I keep hearing closing doors on my speakers please tell me what this is ????

People that are in your address book, that also have AIM, are logging off. When you hear a door open, that means that someone you know just logged on. Closing door means, someone you know just logged off. Hope this helps. :)
