The Bottom Of The Computer Screen....toolbar!?

ok how do i get rid of the one of the icons on the bottom of my screen where the time and volume and stuff is???

If you want to temporarily remove a particular icon, right click your mouse pointer on the icon, and click on exit/unload, etc to end that program.

But, If you want to permanently remove that icon, click on START, then RUN the type in msconfig, then click on STARTUP tab, then uncheck the box on the program which you do not want to load during startup.Then, restart computer. If you want it back, repeat then check the box. Hope that this helps. Good luck.

These are programs running in the background.
If you know what the program is, and want to kill it temporarily, right click the icon and Exit or Shutdown.
If you want to keep it from running in the background
Start... Run... (type)msconfig (click) OK
Choose the STARTUP tab and uncheck the offending program, choose OK, then restart.

The ones on the bottom right are running or open programs. You can right click and close it, but it will come up again when you reboot. Depending on what program it is, you can open the program and set it to NOT open on start up.

If you want only to remove, right click and read the options. If you want to uninstall. go to control panel>add remove programs.
