my laptop is really slow, ive erased everything from the computer several times would adding more memory help?

Try positioning external fans near the vents of laptop to cool it down, better yet, work in an air conditioned room, the warmer the laptop gets the slower it runs, sometimes if it gets too hot it locks up.
