I have lost the product key number for Microsoft Office 2007 and need to type up a document today. Can anyone reccommend a free program I can download that is good for typing up papers?

The best in my opinion. You might also like Open Office. It's a free Office suite and has powerpoint, word, excel like programs for free. GL.

There's Abiword. I've heard it was similar to an older version of microsoft word. Or just google: Free Word Processing.

I use open office 2 even though i have office 2000 and office xp. its free and has all the features and will open and edit and save any microsucks document. there are others but I havent used them so I cant recommend them. the below link will lead you to this gem!!

open office 2 is free and better than MS Office,, you can save all documents in MS format

they have a complete MS office like application going there.

Either you can use Word-pad that comes with your operating system (XP)

or

go to :Openoffice.org and get the software which is of course open-source so free.
